Question Strange Radio Noise

Has anyone heard a strange noise on their AM radio? It sounds like a high pitched, warbling, high speed Morse Code. It appears most prevelant on 1380 Khz and 1400 Khz on moderatly weak stations, but not every weaker station around those frequencies and I don't hear it where there is no station heard. It only does this when driving down the road. I know what the cause is and will probably just live with it rather that have Mr. Badwrench mess something up.
I have a 1LT with the stock radio that includes the MP3 player and Radio Data System but not the CD changer.
Now everybody hit the road and tune around on the AM band

Cool never listened to AM radio...

I'll have to check out my AM radio sometime...I'll have owned my HHR for 1 year on 7/20, & I've yet to listen to the AM radio in her. I LOVE my XM though!

Do you use a Nextel phone? They make noises that can be picked up by PA systems and some radios....

That would be a general problem not specific to one area of the band.

It is more likely simple interference at that band in your area.

I only listen to the local sports channel on AM (hockey)....no extra noises that I can detect, but AM sounds like crap anyway

When the same station is simulcast on XM, I listen to it on XM.

It's not actually the radio. I'm sending you messages through your teeth.
