Well its suppose to rain tomorrow and I was going to enjoy the cool air with the sun roof open. Well it opened and about half way opening a spring type gadget went POP and broke. The dealer said it might cost as much as $1,500.00. Thank GOD I did something that I usually don't do but I purchased the extented warranty.
Has anyone else had this problem??

Can you ask your Dealer if this is rare for the HHr or common, I have 62,000 miles and no Warranty, I open my Sun roof a lot. I hope this does not happen to me. Keep us inform. This is the 1st time I am hearing of this.

I did ask how many he has had and he said that this was the second one.

Second one times 2,000 dealers in 3 years sounds like one option to pass on or trade in by the time the warranty runs out.

 

Just hit 50,000 and it just snapped. Dealer covered it.
