Angry Threw some new codes today

P0128 - Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature

P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected

Drop car off with valet 9 am , Get car back 7 hours later , Check engine light is on. Those kick azz AeroForce gauges, let me pull , and clear the codes in about 10 secs. Car drove fine 39 miles home , Half in bumper to bumper trafic, the other half at light speed , No issues. What the hells going on around here Bobby ?

The 0303 is of course something to keep an eye on ,
But the 0128, Is that to let me know that it's so fricken cold out that the coolent is not really needed ? Any thoughts always welcomed and appretiated.

I had the P0128 code in august, it turned out that the thermostat was stuck open. I would monitor the temp gague as well as the DIC and if they go to zero or --- it should throw the code again. For the 2.2, it wasnt hard to change the thermo, but I dont know about the 2.0.

Lightbulb

the p0128 code means the engine didn't warm up in what the computer thought was in a quick enough time. it usually means the t-stat is stuck open. but it's very cold here in chicago, so if you cleared the code & it didn't come back, & your coolant temp gets up to 185-190 on your digital display, then it was just a fluke & everything is ok.

Just run the stock ones man. I went a step colder and fouled them out in 4000 miles. I just switch out the stock ones every other oil change and have no problems. I do it frequently because im tuned too so it runs hotter

But since batman is over 50k and IF hes still on stock plugs then theyre garbage by now. Im at 34k and on my 4th set. I ran the first set a little long lol
