To me HiLifts are wobbly by nature... not considered a stable jack.

To me, very Brave to use as a supporting ridged jack... that setup would scare the heck out of me.
Especially when ya attempt to nudge a component inside of engine bay... moving anything would produce extreme pucker action!

Excellent job... very nice setup!

Yes, it went up, rolled the powertrain under, and brought it back down onto the jack stands. Very carefully.

Well I put a few hours into the car today. Got everything done under the car. Suspension and steering is back together. All 4 on the ground now!

Still have to put the fuse block back together, and some small items like transferring airbox mounting studs, airbox, probably a few other things too.

It's supposed to rain for a few days starting in the morning. I worked hard to get the wheels back on, my hope was to push it nose into the garage door opening, and keep working while it rained. Who can guess what I discovered?

In your rush you forgot something? Axles? A ground wire? A rad hose leaking?

I could guess on and on.

Hmm. Wanted to push the car into the garage door opening. I'll assume that didn't happen because it would not roll ?
Go ahead and tell us. Don't make us guess what sort of Homer Simpson "Doh" moment you had.

George guessed it. The steering wheel is locked, the key won't turn without power, so I can't unlock the steering. I was very disappointed. I should have expected it, but didn't.

So it rolls, but I can't roll it where I want to.

But now the forecast says I've got a few more hours until the rain. So if I can get my act together, I have a chance to get something done.

I'm cleaning the intake-side catch can now. I've removed the turbo-side can for the time being.

Not too bad really, considering how much muck was flowing through recently.
