Question Traction Control

My car has traction control coming on and off regularly which changes the shift pattern to a very uncomfortable level. any ideas would be appreciated

Have the codes read and then proceed. It should definitly have a code stored if the traction control is engaging regularly.

Have your codes pulled and post 'em up here, otherwise our guesses would be just that....guesses.

What is the year and trim level of your HHR?

I keep having the same problem with the service traction warning coming on but by the time I get to the auto parts store, they cant find the code because the light is off. I have been told it might be related to the oxygen sensor or abs sensor. And ideas?

You will have to get the codes read by a scanner that will communicate with the abs and traction control. Most part stores just have a code reader the will just read code for emissions. At least that what I have seen in my local part stores.

You are correct. That's why they can't see the code.

This is another one of those threads started by someone who never came back to see the answer. He hasn't been active here since 8 minutes after posting.....

I really need an answer to this as well. It happens everytime I idle for a long time say 2 minutes, then the traction control light comes on. If I clean the throttle body it seems to clear it for about a week, can you clean the fuel injectors? I noticed a lot of corrosion on the fuel rail also. Should I replace it? I am about at my wits end.
