Traction control probs on HHR unfixed?
#11
One of the problems is that there is never a code to check. I get the 'service traction' message and the horrid shifting, but never a CEL.
Shut off the car for 2 minutes or more and when its restarted, no message.
Our HHR is completely stock, and I only do real burnouts with 300+ H.P. American V8 metal.
It may be time to start checking connectors and wiring harness.
On Friday I received a call from someone at Chevrolet Customer Service about the 'traction control problem'. I will be contacting them in a few hours and let everyone know what they had to say.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

The codes I have gotten were for MAP and MAF sensors, which have both been cleaned and changed.
Alg-what year is your HHR? I have never heard of a stock car throwing these codes. They have all been after the air cleaner modifications. Please keep me/us informed as to how you make out. I cant believe it is anything loose, since I never had the problem until I did my changes which didnt go anywhere near either fuse box.
