transmission broken

i have an 08 HHR SS . Last night on my way home coming to stop light i heard a clunk. when taking off was a jerk clunk and seamed like i had a stall speed converter in it . when i got home it will not move in reverse at all like i'm power braking and in drive will move slightly same like i'm power braking . I have never experienced this situation before .

Check the ground wire at the transmission case look down to the right of the engine oil filter.
check the TCM harness for rodent damage to the wires, any loose wires or bent pins?

Are there any trouble codes ?
How many miles ?
Not saying this is your problem.
Here's code for the TCC (Torque Converter Control)

There may still be some stored codes if you can get them read. Transmission codes don't always trigger the CEL; they would tell if it is the solenoids.

You might look at the shift linkage to be sure it's not an alignment problem.
