Question TSB for stuck key problem

Can somebody help me out with information on the TSB for the problem with the ignition key getting stuck in the ignition because of problems with the shifter? I've seen it mentioned mulitple times, but can't find the actual bulletin or the number? I have an appoinment for our '07 1LT for this problem tomorrow, and would like to have the infomation available - just in case.

Thanks!!

PM your email to me and I will send it. It could be the shifter or the ignition lock cylinder. The TSB addresses the shifter. The newest part number for the shifter is 25864103. It comes with the chrome knob.

I usually "comes" at the mention of CHROME too, but is it all chrome or are you talking about the SS knob

Oops I know where that's going to end up. If you become a premium member you can see too. Funny what a missing "t" can do to you.

Well mine has been at the dealer since last Friday because of a locked ignition cylinder. They didn't mention anthing about the shifter.

What are they doing to fix it? Is there a parts issue that has them keeping it for so long?

The just said that they had to order the part because it's not the usual item (they hardly carry any HHR's or small cars) and because it was Friday it would be here Monday or Tuesday. Which really means Wednesday.

Our Chevy dealer out here in Simi Valley, does more commercial sales than private ones. They carry no Cobalts, Aveo's, Impala's. Only full size trucks & SUV's, one malibu, two HHR's, and about four Vette's. Slim pickings, that's why I had to drive 26 miles to get my SS.

I just had mine in the dealer two weeks ago and they replaced the shifter. It works like a charm now. Good luck!
