Two Small Problems
I bought my used 2009 HHR on Tuesday (8/4) and brought it home that day. Yesterday, (8/8) someone opened their door and hit mine and chipped the paint clear down to where I can see the metal. I am guessing this will not be covered under warranty but I've read a few places that it will be.
Then, right after disovering the chipped paint my aunt, who I was showing my car to, noticed the knob, used to lower the seat, on the rear driver's side seat has broken off. I am guessing this will be covered under warranty but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen.
The local Chevy garage isn't open until Monday and I am mess after finding these problems.

I don't think the warranty on the paint covers chips or any kind of damage like that. It covers rust sport and things like that. The knob that lets the rear seats fold forward should be covered under warranty. I noticed mine was kinda loose on the drivers side seat and it was replaced and I'm out of the warranty coverage.

I would guess the paint chip would only be covered if the damage was there when you took delivery. When I picked up my then new 2007 HHR, it had a door ding on the right rear door. They did repair that, but it was there before I bought it. As far as the broken knob, that should be covered.
