Unable to turn off my HHR!

Just a follow up.
The dealership had to replace the shifter assembly in the console. The part that makes contact with the switch that tells the car that is in park had broken.
There was a tsb for this on the Cobalt if I remember correctly. Was it ever expanded to the HHR?

I don't think that really requires their vin to look into, as they are asking if the TSB for the Gear Shift contact that tells the system the vehicle is in park and safe to remove the ignition, was ever expanded from the Cobalt....

Mine did this back in May and I called the dealership and explained to them in detail what was going on and how I had to pull a fuse under the hood to shut the car off and how the battery drained. They said they would get my info and order the parts and call me when the parts were in. Come to find out my parts didn't get ordered until July 28th, 3ish months after my first call. I found this out when I went by the dealership earlier this week to find out why it was taking so long and didn't find out until then about the loaner cars. No one mentioned it in my previous 3 phone calls about this recall. Needless to say a service adviser is gonna hear an earful when I finally get to take my car in.

Hey all, just got a letter from GM stating that the shifter assembly warranty is being extended to 15 years from the time the car was originally put into service.
This is the part that is responsible for the key not being able to be removed from the ignition.
If you have already paid to have this repair done you should get reimbursed. My letter came with a reimbursement form and instructions on what is required document wise.
Should be getting a refund from my dealer for this one! Watch your mailbox folks!
