I feel for you on the ipod disconnecting. A lost of us on here trying to use the USB have had nothing but trouble.

I found the male/female cable at Frys and am going by there tomorrow.

After order the Centon usb drive I found out Frys also has those in stock.

Will know in a few days if my USB will start working right with the Centon drive.

Centon USB drives are good (using a 16GB one right now to watch a movie; picked it up CHEAP at CompUSA, now owned by the same company that owns Tiger Direct and the Circuit City name), but if I want top-of-the-line performance, I'm going top-end Corsair or Patriot.

Heres a link to the bulletin for the IPOD compatibility:

Notice also how it says that "Not all Memory sticks are supported". Like I said earlier, when we called GM Techline, they admitted that they never tested any sticks at all so they had no clue which ones would work. I think that is pathetic and causes customers to waste money buying and trying. I know I have. What they should do is simply offer radios with Hard drives so you can just copy files right in. Ive worked for GM parts for 24 years and have owned GM cars all my driving life but I am going with another brand after this car. I've had way too many issues with this car and it's turned me off.

35k and the USB is the only problem so far.

I should have around 39K when I get back from vacation. I don't like buying tires so might just trade it in.

You might know I drove over to my daughter's this morning with numerous engine stops and starts and covered about 140 miles and the USB worked
flawlessly. I was going to go by Frys and pick up a spare 8GB Centon and get the Male/Female USB connector but decided to wait until I get the mail order one.

USB has been working without fail.

The one I ordered was suppose to be here between the 19th and today but failed to get here. Guess I will have it when I get back from vacation. Leaving Sunday.

Got here at the last moment.

Downloaded all 2200 songs and the Centon works perfect but for now so are my two PNYs. Lets hope for the best.

PS-Hooked up a 3 foot cable so my wife wouldn't bump the drive and bend it. I lost the play for a minute but got it back real
quick. Going to buy one of the Swivel Adapters when I ge back from vacation so it will fit close to the dash.

Ive been using the 16GB Super Talent Pico mini USB drive for close 2 years with no problems. I leave it plugged into the radio.

One thing is I only burned the Music to it one time (full) because memory will fail. Learned this with the SD cards.

Got about 5 miles out of town on my vacation and the Centon quit working and my radio switched to the radio.

Tried the 4GB PNYs and they both worked all of the 2500 miles except one time it quit but soon as I started it back up it was ok.

Hope this keeps up as I am over 38K and the bumper to bumper is gone.

I averaged anywhere from 28 to 30MPG on the trip and might just keep
the HHR for a couple more years.
