Vibration In Gas Pedal
I Also Have A Vibration In The Gas Pedal, Starts At About 40mph And Seems To Go Away At About 55mph. My Hhr Only Has 600miles And Is An 2008 Lt Automatic, Took It In To Dealer Because Also Had Vibration In Steering Wheel, They Force Balanced The 4 Wheels And This Corrected The Steering Wheel Vibration, Not The Gas Pedal Still There They Say Normal, Can T Believe That, Any Body Out There Know Possible Correction. Thanks

Since the throttle is electronically controlled (fly by wire), IF you really have a vibration in the gas pedal it would have to come from the firewall. The gas pedal is a lever connected to a potentiometer mounted on a bracket bolted to the firewall. I would inspect both sides of the firewall in the gas pedal area for anything that could cause vibrations , ie A/C hoses, fuel lines, wire harnesses, etc.
The firewall in that area maybe what is called "Quiet metal", two thin sheets with a deadner in the center (kinda like plywood) , that is having a problem.
Never experienced any vibrations in my gas pedal and I would say it's NOT normal.
Good Luck

These vibration problems can sometimes be hard to nail down.
Good luck.
