Vibrations in Steering wheel, front floor boards, and Driver Seat

Normally I would just simply replace the shocks myself. This being a brand new car, and since it started at 8k miles, I'm not really in the mood to start fixing it myself. I will contact the service manager yet again to offer up these ideas as to what is wrong. It is going to be difficult now though, because him and the gm rep are saying the amount of vibration I am feeling is normal for the car. Sigh, if it were normal, I would never have bought the car. My wife gets nauseated by all the constant vibration in the passenger seat.

But ,anyway... I just had a vibration going on, and believe it or not, getting the wheels re-balanced did the trick! Just pointing out that in some (other) cases the fix is simple. Don't you wish you had my Life /Wife (insert your own Poconos joke here)?

Shaking his car with a friend or neighbor. Shake vigorously, the car should hang out like a boat in a storm. Listened attentively, even better - third person look at the suspension. The problem may reveal itself - do you see or hear something.

Tried this little task out. Four of us, one on each side using the luggage rack to shake the car, two of us listening and looking at the suspension. No noise, no creaking, no leakage on the front. The rear I can't see without dissassembling the splash panel and I don't think that would be a good idea. I'll tell the dealership today that I want them to inspect the rear shocks.

At Zagohhr-I will also tell them to check out or replace the hub bearing.

Once I discovered the damage to the arm through this method. Like you, I tried unsuccessfully to find the source of knocking. Several times the visits to the repairmen. They lifted the car to the top, but the problem is not visible, the wheels are hanging in the air.
But when the car is actively swing - knock found himself. Only to find. The result - a small gap of rubber bushing, the source of nasty knocks and crashes the suspension settings.

Same problem

The Chevy Van Nuys dealer said I needed to replace the steering column because it was the steering bearings making noise for $1000 and front bushing on front sway bar, which I did and that did not work, but sure as hell wasn't going to pay $1000 for something that may not work either, also a tire shop said in was my shocks??? Maybe shocks did go bad from all the shaking going on from bad steering wheel bearing. GM please figure this out.

What's GM got to do with it? It's the technicians that don't know what they are doing.

If a Dealership actually used the words "steering bearings" referring to the steering column they are worse than I've heard. Maybe you mis-heard?

Frank Jordan Hawk; Attaching "same problem" onto the end of a long thread really does not mean anything. May I suggest that you start a new thread stating exactly what the problem is and the history?

Not sure about yours, but the OP sure seems like it's the control arm bushings causing intermittent vibration. A better way to check is to get the car up and remove the front struts, then you can check for play.
