Well, looks like Bob's going to take a ride on a tow truck!

Left for work this moring and noticed the AC wasn't working well. Kinda drove around the block before I got on the highway. Then I started to smell burning rubber ans smoke started coming from under the hood. I pulled over and got the hood up just in time to hear a belt snap!!

I was a couple blocks from home so I'm sitting here waiting for the tow truck. Of course my dealer service dept. is close today and I hade some work scheduled for Monday. I guess I'll need to cancel that!

You put a lot of time into BOB. Did you make any determination as what caused the belt problem??

 

Yikes...that's not good at all. Let us know what you find out.

I'm thinking the AC. It stopped blowing cold and that's when I got the smell of buring rubber, then the smoke and snapped belt.

 

Ouch....so you think the a/c compressor froze, burned the belt and it snapped.

You're still under warranty, right?

 

I love the back end of BOB. I hate my stock bumper.
