Don't know, or really care, what was the cause. Repair was under warranty.

I had not noticed any of the symptoms others are mentioning. Just stopped blowwing cold air, that's the only warning I had.
Looks to me like the dealer didn't do too bad. Your A/C craps out on Saturday morning, and You got your ride repaired and back on Monday afternoon.
And I'll bet they had other breakdowns over the weekend to deal with in addition to their already scheduled service appointments.

1st let me say its good to see you got your HHR back. Next it is kind of ironic, my A/C compressor started growling yesterday. I am one of those on here that works at a dealer (service consultant), so mine will be getting a new compressor this morning. The growling just all of a sudden started yesterday at lunch. I would have never noticed it if I hadn't turned my radio down.
On a 3rd note, for GDZHHR, when you get your survey from GM make sure you pay attention to questions 10 and 16, 10 is the service consultant question, and 16 is about the dealer, however GM only counts question 16 towards the dealers score. Anything less than completely satisfied is like getting a "F" on a test. Also make sure you write your comments on the end, GM does look at them. But I know if we ignore anyone at work, we get our a??'s chewed out, and there is no excuse to ignore anyone.

My 2 cents

But a HHR take Precedents, obviously you haven`t been paying attention.
When I take my Ride to the dealership, everyone stop whatever they`re doing, and put in bids on doing the work on mine.
I`ve got a Perferred customer sticker also, issued exclusively to HHR owners.
Man I Love this Ride.

The only problem I had at the dealer was with the service writer. I'd never hold one bad person against a whole business. I've got a real good relationship with this dealer. And they took good care of me overall. I was very happy to get Bob back the same afternoon.

I did speak to the service manager at Weber, Jim Farmer, great guy and really seems to care about his customers. He told me he would take care of the issue with the tech writer. It's been my experience that I can trust him. I'll give good marks on the survey.
