Warped rotor..

Glad to hear it Mike....
A GM guy, I bumped into yesterday, told me GM specifies more iron in the rotors which is SUPPOSED to be better with the OEM brake pads. He says they're reevaluateing that.....who knows

Definately sounds like warped roters! I had to have mine turned down under warranty at 8,000 miles! The dealer told me to keep and eye on them and if it reoccured, bring it back! I just wonder at what point is it not covered under the warranty? It seems very early to be making this type of repair!

Took ours into the dealer today for a couple of things. A few weekends ago we had to follow a slow jeep down the mountain, that almost warped ours again. They had been grabbing/grinding at the left front since, so I told them to turn them again. Less than 25,000 on ours.

New pads and rotors turned ..... *N/C * My only concern, 15,000 miles left on the warranty. I hope to have no more issues. If I do past the warranty I will be putting on some kind of aftermarket set-up. The trade in value is so bad on our cars it's ours for the long haul. We wish we had got a white or orange one and I told my wife we'd come out cheaper painting it instead of trading it.

I think I'm heading for a brake job as well.
I had the rotors turned a few months ago, but while I was out on the weekend I had great difficulty stopping in the rain and the noise coming from the brakes was scary (almost a groaning sound, and it only happens in the rain).
The same thing happened in my Malibu and they replaced the pads and turned the rotors under warranty.
Now I am getting major shakes when braking at highway speeds. Once this beast is out of warranty, drilled and slotted rotors are going on.
