Another guess on my part.......

but I don't believe anyone with a 2007 has encountered this water leak problem, Maybe GM found a 'fix" or made a design change, for assembly.

Yes, all of us 2007 owners have our fingers crossed this issue was fixed.

Angry

Well I hate to bring bad news but I just got an 07 HHR. My driver's side floor was completely drenched and the sunroof area was wet. They cleared out the one drain ; it was running slow to them. They didn't even address the floor. They sales people were great and worked with me on the sale, but the service dept. didn't make a great first impression. There was also another HHR in for a sunroof leak. Don't know if was an 06 or 07. You'd think they've had to know about the leak. Anyway....I'll keep you updated...supposed to get rain again tonight.

I think you are the first to report the driver's side getting drenched.

This may sound like a stupid question, but are you sure the sunroof was completely closed?
The other day, I had noticed my sunroof sitting higher in one area (on the driver's side, near the front), had hit the controls to make sure it was closed and got no additional movement. Pushed down in the one spot and it went flat with the rest of the roof. So far it was a one time deal.

Not a Stupid Question

It's not a stupid question. The dealer also asked me. You have to ask because you never know. There are a few others that had the same problem with the driver side. Not that many. I've researched other sites that HHR owners have posted messages on. The sunroof and passenger side leaks seem to be more numerous. It was just my driver's side floor that was drenched, so that's when I checked the sunroof and discovered it was damp up there. They just cleared out the driver's side sunroof drain. From what I've read, I think I have another issue either with the firewall or the door or both.

No life guard on duty with that pic, I took 2 towels to suck up all the water.
I'm just happy so far no more leaks. I'm sure they fixed it first try.
My hubby said that our local Chevy Dealer hired a specialist for leaks so obviously they are aware of the issues and are dealing with them. So far no complaints.
Good luck with the sunroof leak, I was tempted to get an aftermarket sunroof but I'm SCARED now.. hehe.

Water leaking into floorboard

I own a 2006 HHR and have had a bad problem with water leaking into the passenger floorboard. I took it back to the dealership and they "fixed" it....or so I thought.

Last week I discovered it was leaking yet again.

Have any of you experienced this problem? They told me the first time that it was a factor defect or whatever so it seems likely that I'm not the only one.

Thanks.
