After three trys it appears they have my leak fixed. I say appears as we have not had a big rain since I picked it up. The wire harness on the driver side is held in by clips. They supposdley were not holding it tight and when in heavy rain water ran into the opening and filled up the door post. Once post was full, about 6 inches, it over flowed soaking floorboards on driver side and flowed through opening betweeen front and back and soaked driver side back floor. When I experence my first big rain again I will follow up.

We've had our '06 for 10 months, it came a toad strangler Friday. And as I got into the car the driver side floor was wet. And you're not gonna beleave where the water was coming from. It was coming from in between where the dark grey meets the light grey at the dash above the hood release. Running down into the floor. The car was park slightly going up hill with the LR being the lowest point. Gotta take it to the d'ship cause our vanity mirrors are both broke anyway.

We just had some rain in Calif. and my HHR had a wet spot on the PS floor. I thought it was repaired back in 06, but I guess not. We haven't had much rain untill now. It going into the dealership tommorrow for the steering clunk/rattle and now the leak. I like the car, but I've had more problems then I ever had with the 89 Honda Accord 120k and the 01 Hyndia Santa Fe with 60k. Sold the Santa Fe to get the HHR. With warranty almost up and still having problem I'm getting worried.

Add me to list of passenger side water leak. The rain we had over the weekend was the most and hardest that my HHR has ever gone through.
So it went today to the dealership today for that and a POWER STEERING warning on the DIC.

I did some testing before I droped it off at the dealership yesterday. I found that if I let the hose run on high onto the passanger lower corner front windshield the water would run into the car. With the carpet and padding lifted you could see the water running down the inside fender well seam and onto the floor. I told that to the dealership and as of yet they haven been able to duplicate the leak. Tommorrow is another day, hope for better luck. They did order new front struts to take care of the low speed steering clunk. Won't know if that works untill I pick it up.

Maybe it is just me, but has anyone noticed a slight moisture problem on the inside if their windshield and front side windows? This happened first when my car sat outside for two weeks in freezing temps, but I thought it went away after a good cleaning. Then it happened again just a few days ago and I'm driving again every day. Just wondered if anybody else has had this problem.

I have this in my 2 month old HHR. I thought I'd get away from this, my old Ram that I traded for this had constantly soggy carpets/underfelting due to a variety of leaks, and thus ice thick enough on the inside of the screen to need scraping off, but there doesn't appear to be any water in the interior on the HHR so far.

I too had the water leak on PS and the clunking noise. The water leak was fixed and had no further issues. The clunking noise was taken care of by replacing the steering column. These seem to be pretty common issues with the car. I too had a water problem in my Chrysler Sebring convertible which took Chrysler 4 yrs to figure out what the problem was! When my HHR did it I thought OMG, what did I buy??? But I have to say that I haven't had any more issues with the car and its been great. I still love it. GOOD LUCK.
