Talked to service department yesterday and they determined our leak to be the drivers door area where the electrical harness attaches to the body. They used some kind of sealant but will have the car for a couple of more days. They ordered new carpet for it so that is what we are waiting on.

That's good that they are replacing the carpet. The HHR does not have a seperate pad, it is attached to the carpet. Other cars you would just replace the pad to get rid of any mold or mildew.

Hillsdale-

Ever since you posted this, it's been on my mind. My ride is dry, (so far).

But being anal as I can be, I thoroughly cleaned & then sealed with clear 100% silicone around every harness to body boot. & to my door boots as well.. You can't even see it. But the're ALL sealed now!!!

I figure, it can't hurt it..& I'll sleep better till I find my next obsession to move on to.. Doh !!! I forgot I already have my list...

Thanks for posting the findings & etc..

Billy

Well, hopefully I will be getting the SS back today at noon and have no more problems with leaks.

Has anyone else had any micro leaks from the top of the windshield. Nothing so far when it rains but when I take it to the car wash and use the wand I get little trickles on the inside.

Got the car back Now I'll just have to keep an eye on it after every rain for awhile.

No not the windshield. But I have trouble with a leaking passenger door top seal
in ONE PARTICULAR DRIVE THROUGH CAR WASH. Don't experience it anywhere else. It is just a trickel....but annoying.

Hillsdale-

Good, & I agree about watching after rains.

We're supposed to have dry weather after tomorrow (hopefully). If so, I intend to run mine thru my local Drive Thru Car Wash. That one really blasts some water. I've never run this vehicle thru it (yet).

That should be a good test....Plus mine is filthy..
