Weird problem
I have a weird issue..took my 09 into an audio shop to have an aftermarket sub installed..its being hooked up to the factory radio..the radio has factory RCA outs..after they hooked it up and brought it out it lit the ses light sayin engine power decreased service traction contol..they pulled the battery cable and it came back on..as soon as they disconnected the sub it went away..any time they plug the sub in it triggers the ses..anyone else have that problem..i have to wait until monday til they can call the chevy dealer.
When I got home I looked at everything I could..can't see the ground or RCA cables, but everything seems ok..I played it with the key turned to ignition on and it played just fine. I started the car and put it in reverse then the ses light came back on with "limp mode" and service traction control. I unhooked the sub and unhooked the batt cable to clear the code again.

Pretty obvious, based on your post, that they hooked up the sub to something they shouldn't have.
Since the sub needs a power source, sounds like they tapped into a power supply they shouldn't have.
You should have pulled the codes instead of clearing them and seen what CEL's were triggered. A CEL may have pointed you to the problem.

I don't see what the anti theft would do with it because it's ran to the back of the factory headunit..The code that is popping up when the sub is hooked up is p2138 Throttle position sensor circuit.

the power supply is hooked to the positive pole by the fuse box under the hood..which it looks like there is 3 cable hooked there now..1 is the power cable, the other is positive and the other looks like a negative cable on the same pole then on the back side there is another pole which looks like a negative cable.

Hope they didn't tie the sub into the TPS wiring.
(Edit:oops.I think it's PPS. Pedal Position Sensor)

Or the power steering. That's the one "which looks like a negative cable".
The battery is in the trunk next to the spare tire. The box under the hood is the fuse box, the Large red covered pole is the feed FROM the battery, the black one is the power steering 12V feed.
IF you need an unfused 12 volt feed the front red connection will work, but kind of stupid for a professional. The body is ground. There are many other preferred 12V sources that a professional Audio Shop would use.
I am now thinking you traveled 50 miles to see the circus. They tapped into something they should not have. They have broken your car and need to fix it.

I looked for the ground..and it's drilled into the bar the runs across the underside of the rear seats..and I was wrong it wasn't that it had factory rca's on the headunit..the installer said it had factory low level inputs so they wouldn't have to use the rca interface adapter.

Photo of the harness where it connects to the powered sub..single wire on the left is for the remote bass knob, then neg & pos, then the connector on the right is im guessing the low level connect..to connect the speaker into the factory headunit.
