weird "slurping" sound?

Not really sure what to call the sound but it sounds like a slurping sound ..almost like the throttle body is sticking open and letting too much air through?
Ive uploaded a video of it, nothing to see just listen to it. You may have to turn up the volume to hear it but be warned it kinda scares u when it happens lol.
This sound happens when i push the gas pedal..also the engine has a ticking sound so much now not sure why. Oil level is good. Ever since i got the intake mani replaced at the dealer I always heard this sort of air leak sound from it while driving, even while idling it just sounds off. But yet the dealer has no idea what im talking about of course. Again it almost sounds like air filter or throttle body or even cat or exhaust leak. Ill have to recheck the downpipe and cat to make sure of that, but the weird slurping sound is coming from the engine bay at the airfilter/TB area. Also the end of the audio clip, just listen how odd the car sounds when i turn it off. wth is going on? 2008 2.2 ~ approx 107,000kms / 66,000miles, no codes
Heres the sound clip:

Stay away from 7-11 stores. I prefer Slushies anyway.

If you're talking about that short little "burp" noise heard 3-4 times, sorry, can't figure that one out. Bet I could if I heard it in person, but you're just a little too far from me.

Fwiw. The other noise. Don't know if it's just the recording but that sure does sound like an excessive amount of valve train noise. Hope it's not as loud in person.

sounds almost like a leak through the inlet, have you put in a aftermarket ram air or something or is it stock

and for the ticking sound, is this normal? like i said the oil level is fine and ive been using mobil1 synthetic for about a year or so now. I never really noticed the ticking before i switched to Syn oil so maybe I should switch back to regular and see if the sound is still there

Seems I remember considerable messing around with intake manifold in the past. Think gaskets or torque or tubes.

Ok old-timers: what is one can spray on the intake manifold gaskets to check for leaks? I can't remember what it was that when used for that, would make the engine rev up slightly as it momentarily closed the leak.

Donbrew - does it ring a bell with you young fella?

Skyline mentioned it first heard it after the IM gasket was replaced.

I used propane to check for intake leaks, but I'm nuts so don't try that at home kids. I would recheck all bolts on the intake manifold and the Airaid set up, the maf sensor, the reving seems to be the A/C kicking in , the ticking could be the timing chain tensioner is shot!
