Wheel bearings - howling sound got me

Hello

I know the problem was walked through milion times but i have a question.
I went to my mecanic to see whats the problem wit my hhr - the howling sound.
He confirmed that the bearings are damaged, left side front and rear left.
And my question is - can i buy oonly the bearing ord do i have to hange the whole hub ? why? Cause the whole hub costa around 100$, and here in poland we have the largest bearing company in whole europe, they said they are 99% sure that if the bearing can be replaced they can find something for me.

So can You please tell me if someone managed to put the bearing outside of the hub, or is the hub made as a monolith just like in alfa romeo ?
Ive searched the internet for part number 22715554 and the images show that the bearing can be replaced, is that true ?

Entire hub, including speed sensor if you have ABS. In the US you can get them on eBay for about $40 each, don't know about Poland. I suggest replace all 4.

And thats the problem like always, Poland...

So i have left side damaged, the hub costs 40$ x 4 thats 160$, shipment 107$ - thats total 267$, thats a lot.

but i just came across polish auction thats says that the part number: 22715554 is used with Opel zafira, so i have a favour, can someone post a numbers of moog or other manufactuers ?

I just came with the same problems trying to get the springs so maybe there are replacement part used on EURO market.

22715554 is replaced with 19259801 which is still a valid GM part number

Zafira has many common parts with HHR/Cobalt, same platform.

GM MSRP is $360 each US.

Hello

Today was D-Day, i was happy to buy my bearing hubs for the change, i was... they ware picked up by the catalogue PN: 22715554, and gues what.... metric is not equal ot US to inches and here the outcome. They dont match the fron, the difference is about 5 mm to the screws to fit, another thing that HHR has the screws with a square head and they are pushed to the hub, EU ones have the screws to be turned by the key, so if You fit somehow the hub You will have to change the screws to EU turned by thje key ones.

Abot back, it will fit.. Yes but, one thing there are 5 screws going out from the brake drum, if You use the parts by the catalogue, you will have to face aiming the hub and the drum brakes to fit alle 5 screw, |You will not be able to change the hub without clearing the scres that hold the wheel. SO ive decided NOT to change that part either.

To end up im looking for another part today, and i have an t/C and ABS light on cause my hub are in very bad shape.

God im so angry at GM

Odd, everything is metric on US models. Ours come with 5 studs installed. Sounds like whatever car those were made for had a different bolt circle and 4 lug (like some Cobalts).

Those look like they have been sold a few times.
