white smoke
im getting white smoke and a smell of burning (exhaust smell/fuel smell) every time i start her up after its been sitting for a few hours like over night or after work..
i thought its the exhaust work ive done burning the oils and whatever else from the exhaust but i have done a good 2-3000kms already and it should have burnt all the stuff out by now..
usualy the white smoke is either condensation or coolant being burned..ive checked my coolant levels and they are fine, oil level is fine..not sure why its still smoking unless this is normal? it only does it while idling
ideas?

Most likely it's from the exhaust work you've done.
Some after market exhaust parts are made from metals that tend to "sweat" inside after heating and cooling down cycles. It may just be this moisture that is burning off. It may do this for a while or until you get a good coat of soot built up inside. Hard to say how long it will last. As long as your coolant level is good, I wouldn't worry about it being a coolant leak problem.
Years back, we would run the 3" dual exhaust into the cheap Thrush Turbo mufflers. At startup, those things would literally pour 2 puddles under the car until it warmed up and burned the moisture out. The downside was the mufflers would only last about a year before rusting out.

im just worried also about the smell..it has a really strong burning fuel smell...not sure if its related but when i have the AC on and using the "outside" air button i sometimes smell fumes when stopped at a light...im wondering if its the smoke im smelling as it sucks it in or is there a problem with a head gasket? hmm
but the white smoke does go away after awhile, it just happens for a few mins (5-10) when cold start up
