I ordered mine (LT,2.4 auto) slick (no external appendages) but had a noise anyway. There was a hole underneath the rt door sill. Filled sill with foam & underlayed both front carpets. Quiet now. If it weren,t for the SS, I wouldn,t ever need another car! 38k mi

some say it could be the OE wiper arms. try taking them off and going for a drive.

also, at the ends of the windshield, there are plastic tabs...I think they plow air when at speed.

My 06 HHR has some pretty heavy wind noise...not like it has an air leak...but like it is plowing air like a giant loaf of bread....

...oh wait...it IS like a giant loaf of bread-not exactly aerodynamic.

sometimes, to achieve a certain design, form LEADS function. I would definatey try to find the cause of the whistling air tube sound you have...

We see those darn flying contraptions (with lights) in Stephenville Texas too. But they don't make any noises.

Had wipers on today and still the same noise so I guess that rules them out as I think there would not be that noise with them operating

OMG That is exactly the tube I was talking about lol

For the record it still makes that noise...I'm wondering if it could be the mirror caps? At low speeds and depending on wind direction it sounds like it is coming from the mirrors....at speeds though it sounds like it is coming from the center of the car...can the noise travel during speed from the side of the car to the center??

Yes....sound can travel at speed. It did in my Honda.

I had a rattle in the rear of the center console, and at speed it sounded
like it was in the front left fender.

A rear passenger finally ask what the rattle was that was coming from the console.

Never could find anything loose in the left front.....

Duh...!!

I have had my 08 SS to the dealer twice for the wind whistle coming from the drivers side mirror. They have pulled the painted cover off, removed the mirror then replaced it and tried to shim it. No success. The dealer brought in the regional engineer, he spent a day working to fix the problem. The whistle occurs between 70 and 80mph. The service writer suggested I don't drive above 70mph. Da!!!!! I have asked them to order a new mirror. They were reluctant but have. I am not going to roll over and have to settle with this annoyance. This car is too much fun to drive to have this whistle ruin the driving experience.
