Unhappy Wind noise drivers door

I have wind noise at window at driver's door, with all windows up. I was told by my dealer what all HHR's have the same problem and there is no way to fix.
Is this true, or is there a fix????

Same Problem with GMC Jimmy

I had the same problem with a 2000 GMC Jimmy and the body shop manager, who I trust very much, said the door needed to be tweaked. Told him I would get back with him, but did not get a chance to. But I had a friend who ran the body shop at another dealer and I was there and asked him about it. He said he would fix it, but I might not want to look. Actually he placed his knee against the door and pulled on the top of the door. Apparently this bent things back in place, because the problem for the most part went away. Sounds weird I know.

Hmmm, don't have this problem. Sounds like a quick poll/check with other members, would help.

Not sure you would want to do this with the HHR. Pretty thin material, there.

no road noise in mine...... all I have problems with is the horrible noise with just one window down.... but that goes with these new cars.....now if I could just teach the dog to put the window back up when she is done looking out....I would be all set

I noticed it off and on on really cold days during the winter. Generally except for that, I have no wind noise.

I was impressed at the limited wind noise in the HHR. I've had many others cars that you could hear the radio over the wind. I hope you find a solution to your problem.

Whistling noise

I'm getting a whistling noise which seems to be coming from my outside mirrors. when i put my hand over the mirror to deflect the wind the noise stops. Not sure how to fix that one. The whistle can get very loud at times.

Size: 5.6 KB to the site!!! No noise here. Have them let you drive another HHR on the lot and see if you hear it then!

I get the same thing and i yes the knee trick will fix it, but it doesn't bother me enough to do that yet. If your going to do that make sure that you put the window down, it makes it alot easier.
