sounds like its the windshield washer pump. I replaced mine at 280,000 kilometers, it was a 5 minute repair.

My pump does the same thing with some regularity, just quits pumping. A few minutes later (or a pothole or two later) it's fine again. I'm fairly certain my problem is just a bad connection or wire at the pump though. I changed the air filter one day and must have bumped it, opened the hood and re-bumped the wires and it started working again When I have time I'll actually fix it :)

Finally just took it to the dealer today. It turns out to be the pump and of course they won't have one until tomorrow. It also turns out that there is a recall for my ignition so they gave me a loner for a couple of days. I'm going to have to drive around in a damn brand new Camero. I guess I will tough it out since it's only for a day or so. Chuck

Thank you for sharing the updates. Wow, a new Camaro? That is going to be tough to drive around in! LOL How do you like it?

It took my dealer a week to get the part, no loaner. They insisted on keeping the car "in case the part shows up"

Will they replace the ignition switch without it going bad? I thought they only replaced it when it went bad... John

Michelle, I really liked the car but if I owned one I would really get into trouble. It is fast and everyone else on the road wants to race with you. It does burn a whole lot more gas than my HHR.

John, They did replace the ignition switch. I didn't know about the recall until they told me when I went in for this service. I have not had a problem with the ignition. I was told that the problem was a spring that "could" fall out and the key would be stuck in the switch. All in all they did a great job and gave me the loaner car instead of waiting or bringing the car back. Chuck

It's good that everything worked out allright! I'll have to check into the recall- but I bet the dealer won't give me a fast car to race everyone with.... They know me too well... John
