That's right about Crinamex being made in Mexico, Chooch. I was just trying to leave the stereotypes out and concentrate solely on the product.

well, no offence to the mexicans! the hhr is made in mexico after all and so far it seems to be from average to good in the reliabilty ratings. Just guess what im trying to say is, like most vehicles, parts are made and come from everywhere in the world.

I had my windshield replaced as well yesterday. It cracked top to bottom, driver side after I got a bad chip a couple of months ago. Interesting story, because my insurance's office was totally shut down (major winter storm), so I paid for it upfront and I'm handling the claim this morning.

I got a PPG without the tint strip (I prefer that actually), and it's identical to the original one; I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if it weren't for the PPG printing in the corner. Total before taxes: 790.50 $CA.

Apple Auto Glass on Forest St in Ottawa: it looks to be a one man operation, and he knows what he's talking about. I've had great service there as well with previous cars.
