I need to adjust one of my wipers so it won't hit the hood when I flip it up. I've read here to "just pop off" the cap that covers the adjuster, but I can't get it off with my bare hands. Any ideas?

The black plastic rounded cap at the bottom of the wiper arm really does just pop off. It comes straight up and is on the top, maybe 2 inches across and a 1/4 inch thick.

Then you will see the nut to remove so you can lift the whole arm up, position it where you want it, replace the nut and then the black plastic cap.

That is all it takes. Don't know if the '09 SS is different but that's the way the '06 comes off.
