Exclamation Wires to left under steering wheel

I just got the 2007 LS and there is a bunch of wires that dropped down from under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Attached is a black fcc flat box, attached to that is a circular like disk looks like some kind is sensor, it's about the size of a quarter maybe and then a bunch if wires hanging out of that not even connected to anything. I have no clue what this thing is or where its supposed to be connected. I'm sure it's supposed to be somewhere under there. Any help appreciated.

Hmm...it could be the remnants of a security system installed by a former owner, or a remote "kill switch" installed by a dealer if your HHR has ever changed hands at a "Buy Here, Pay Here" operation, or it could be a tracker/data logger installed if your new ride has a history as a "Fleet Vehicle".

Without seeing it, we're kind of shooting in the dark, here's a link on how to upload photos to the Site and your Threads/Posts...

Or shoot me a PM and if you can stand a wait until Tuesday evening, I can e-mail you the '07 wiring diagrams in PDF form.

P.S. aboard!

Welcome to the site

I agree. More than likely it's an unused aftermarket device.

Welcome to the site! I agree with Lucky and 843de, most likely an aftermarket doohickey! Follow the wires to see if they are spliced into the harness with Scotch locks or tape.
