Woke up battery dead completely?

The battery died on my 06 HHR. Worked one day, dead the next. The batteries in my cars, since moving to Florida seem to suddenly die, unlike when I lived in NY, they would just get weaker and weaker. I suspect it is the hot climate in Florida that may be the cause. My cars are all stored inside and not cooking in the sun. The HHR battery did last five + years.
