Angry Won't start after rinsing eng compartment.

"Im a newbie so take it easy on me fellas,"
Here is the dealio. I have a 06 hhr with about 133k miles on it.
Car was running great with absolutely no issues yesterday I decided to wash it, in the process I got the dumb idea to A$$ idea to gently rinse the engine compartment off. I know, I know!

. Started car & immediately got the (reduced power reading) on the display.
. Turned engine off& attempted 4x to restart, it only cranked.
. All other attempts to start, light, & accessories worked but it will not crank.
. Crossing terminals on solenoid does crank the motor but even with key on it doesn't start.

What I have tried so far:
. Confirmed battery voltage was fully charged
. Checked fuse box for moister
. Removed & checked for blown or lose relays or fuses
. Checked all plugs /connectors for looseness or moisture
. Checked harnesses for lose frayed or broken wires
. Checked spark plugs & boots for moisture & looseness
. Checked 50 amp fuse in trunk near battery
. Removed battery cable & 50 amp fuse for 30 min's or more
All of above checked and no moisture or blown fuses, not sure about relays however the ones I could swap I did and still no START...
PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My guess is the coil pack. Have you ever changed the spark plugs, they were due at 100K.

On the '06 you have a single coil pack under the air filter attached to the spark plugs.

I'd grab a can of wd40 and start spraying some of the electrical connections to drive out any moisture that might have gotten in them, including the coil pack like donbrew mentions.

If it isn't cranking, I'd suspect one of the major connections at the "computers" under the hood, or the fuse box itself which have been known to cause a problem or two.

You may find that the problem clears by itself if it is left sitting overnight.

Thanks for the speedy replies Donbrew & Whopper. I was sort of counting on it drying up and starting in a day or so, he'll it's been in the low 90's out here everyday.
Yeah the first day as well as yesterday I disassembled the connectors & coil pack & checked for moisture, still no luck.
If it were the coil pack wouldn't it still crank.
Also how on earth do you check relays.

I was unclear about the cranking. Check the red cable connection to the fuse box.

You basically take the relay out and apply 12V to the correct terminals and listen for the click.

O.k. So after performing all of the previous trial and error suggestions to no avail.
I decided to say to HELL with it & just give it a rest. However being it that it was another 85-90 degree day I decided to put the battery on a low slow charge and leave the the hood open with the fuse box lid off. That was at 3:00 pm today, returned home around midnight tonight attempted to start car and it started right up and ran for about 3 min's then shut down, Now it cranks and wants to start but won't turn over and stay running"GRRRRRR" maybe tomorrow.

That WD40 has worked miracles for me in the past - on everything from harness connectors to spark plug leads, and spark plug wells. It really drives out the moisture.

It sounds like it is drying out - albeit slowly.

Oh, what did you use to rinse it off? A hose or a power washer?

The red part above is confusing.

Cranking and turning over(the starter turning the engine) are the same thing in my book: . So. Is it turning over or not?

I think he is saying it turns over, and fires a bit (tries to start) but will not start.

to me that points to electrical?????????

Who knows. Part of his statement above says "won't turn over"

See whopper. Me and you interpret it in 2 different ways. That's why I think a clarification is needed.
