On a second thought, is this "button" for your seat belt possibly the type of thing you could find at a junk yard? Maybe if you could, it would be cheaper than getting it from the dealer. Is it just the passenger seat that is the problem? Maybe you could swipe one from the back seat for a temporary fix or something...

Welcome likedthelook-

The thing about forums is that, not a lot post how Great their ride is doing.

But, I will say there are many, many, many owners here that are not having problems & theirs are doing just fine (including mine)..

Hope you get the bugs worked out, cause it's a fun lil ride..

X 2 sleeper. Most of the time, most of our HHR's run like little Swiss watches, and the natural response to a problem is to post about it...folks have to vent and ask questions, lots of times a problem post leads to an answer because of the old "been there done that" thing that happens to everyone eventually.

I completely agree with you guys. It's not like most people start a thread to say, "Guess what? My HHR's been doing great lately." But when a problem comes up, yeah, you definitely feel like posting about it. I would say the vast majority of people are very satisfied and have few if any problems with their HHRs. I have put on many trouble-free miles on my HHR and I foresee many more before I have to stick any money into it. Once you get your troubles resolved, hopefully you'll feel just like us. It's a neat little car, enjoy the ride!

the poster paid 13k for a vehicle, if he wants to gripe.. let him. he stated he thought he did the research on it but maybe it just wasn't enough to truly inform him.

with that said. all cars have one problem or another. nothing is perfect. However, you just bought it and the dealer should fix it.

The mustang runs great is a little flimsy on the interior but I can count on one hand the number of repairs I made on it in the last year.
I do not want to start the old Ford Chevy debate but I think the HHR is a Fiesta priced at 27k
I am stuck with it for now and hope the others here will be a good source of how to for all the repairs.
Anyone know where I can get the button.
Ford didn't do much of anything to the Ranger for 27 years, I hope they got it right by now.....

I had a Mustang for 13 years, I can tell you all about the Fox platform and it's issues....

You have one issue with your HHR, unless you have no fingers, you should be able to count that one one hand also.....

Spend the $49 and start enjoying it.

Welcome to the forum......... As sleeper and others have said, don't judge the car by what you read on the forum. Get some things fixed and enjoy your car, they really are fun.
