Cruise night in WNY

so whats the smartest thing to do when you think your cv joint is going? how about drag race? anyhow i ran a $h!t time 10.30 1/8th mile. i could not get traction thru first gear(but did beat an RX-8).. on another run (10.44) the auto tranny actually shifted to second and then back to first with more wheel spin...so bald tires dont help...also there were very few cars(in my class) running under 10's.. another SS ran a 9.90 at one point. the track was awful and it had rained earlier in the day... im hoping to get around a 9.5 or so in a few weeks

oh and if no one believes my horrible time, i'll post my slip

Wow, try switching on Launch control, or hold the button for ten seconds and turn esc/tc off.

I find it hard to believe you are two seconds behind me, i thought i was slow with a 8.96 in the 1/8

mods are k&n filter and superchips programmer...other than that is stock...tires are my problem i think...and if i ran an 8.96 i would be thrilled at this point...i did do the launch control, the first time i had both pedals to the floor and spun half way down the track... the next run i had messed with the amount of gas i gave it and did better. honestly i looked like an idiot telling my friends i would run a 9.5 and not coming close lol. i know my ss is capable of a 9.5 1/8th

I got really bald tires I use, and I run them at 22 psi.

I started out with both pedals floored, now I try staging at 2k seems to work alot better, and shaved 3/10 off my 60'.
