I Broke the Eight Second Mark!

I Broke the Eight Second Mark!
Last night turned out to be a pretty good night at the track, and my continous weekly tweeking is starting to pay off.
I broke the eight second mark in a non-LSD Automatic, on street tires! Woo Hoo! Track was preped pretty good, weather was just right with a lot of mist in the air, I think this was the helping factor.
The Eight Second Run:
Reaction= .698 caught me sleeping!
ET= 8.961 @ 83.824
60' = 2.164 on worn out eagle gt's!
This was also #3 in back-to-back "hot-runs". I really managed to get the tires nice and warm by this time. I think outside temps were mid-sixties. coolant around 205, IAT was high. Overall, my 60's were consistent 2.1-2.3 and speed was 82.5-83.8. Best reaction I could muster all night was a .318. My best 60' was still last week with a 2.086.
The biggest improvement overall was in the driver(me). I think I finally after 4 weeks have figured out how to launch this car, with little to no tire spin. By the end of evening, I was seeing how much stall I could load before wheelspin. The 8 Second run was done right on the edge... alot of barking, no slipping though, if that makes any sense. I knew it was gonna be close. I've been trying for this for weeks, with what I've got. I know its just barely in the 8's but for a car with 76K, not too shabby.
on a side note...I really thought the Nissan 350's and the infiniti's 35's were faster... Everybody either ran under the 80's or over the 90's. No one really in my class. even older Fox Body 'stangs mildly built were slower than me. weird.
