ME!!! i went to the independence eve bash @ thompson raceway park with some friends to watch the U.M.T.R. guys run....well it was only $5 more to race than to watch so i got in on the street trophy class.....well after 3 rounds, the HHR was the only one left......and did it with a stick, mind you.....

What did you run against?

 

2 5.0 stangs and a v-6 firebird. the first stang was stroked to 428 c.i. and ran 11.40......cut a decent light and he couldn't catch me, the v-6 firebird was an easy kill....lol, and the last stang was a decent looking fox body car...it was the closest of the three.....we were only running an 1/8th mile because the top end of the track wouldn't hold the real fast cars out there....which it made it really hard to catch a slow car like mine since i was usually getting a second head start or more.....the firebird dialed an 11 flat against my 11.31, but he was WAY late i kept out in front, tapped the brakes at the end so i wouldn't break out...... even though it was just the trophy class, i was excited for my first win....i got a nice 2-foot trophy and a class winner decal that found it's way onto the back door glass, just for bragging rights!!!!
