1st Annual South Central Whole Hawg Report and Pics
Well Moose e Man, Txsman2930 and CJ got there at 7:51 and all the trees were taken and it was around 1/3 full. So we electric corded off the 9 to 10 spaces that we might need and we were right by the back entrance and main road. What a Great Place cept no shade on a hot day and i mean hot, 103.
Started off with nice temps, humidity and cloud cover. Man that didnt last long and the heat/humidity demon came to nest on the show. Txsman and I had to go to car wash to get off the bugs form the drive in from Moose e mans house. we got more more bugs this morning on a 7 mile trip than the 180 miles we did getting there night before.
Big Jim showed up and we started lining them up and detailing the HHRs. We went to JM's for a brunch and what a great place. Great food, service and great prices. Win win win on every account.
NavyFlyer showed up around 10 and was feeding his clan and then TexasHHR and Roadstar showed up around 11. Cowboy and his crew finally got there around noon. 5 of us entered the show. the rest just parked their HHRs there. we ended up w 8 HHRs. 2 blacks (Navyflyer, Jeff and Big Jim), 2 sport reds (TexasHHR and Txsman2930 (Julie and Pat), 1 dark silver (Roadstar- Mark Julie's son), 1 bright silver (Moose e man or Everette, 1 blue (me) and 1 Tan (Cowboybornlate or Todd).
All in all a nice show w Big Jim taking 2nd the the PT Cruiser class which is the category they made us go in. 2 tents and lots of visiting and looking and all in all a great show.
on a side note Everett entered the 1998 100,000 black, filthy, wax residue splattered left rear end never cleaned inside or out prior to event Jimmy and WON 2nd place in the Jimmy Class. Lynnann must be lucky because she is 2 for 2 at car shows w the Jimmy.

Thank you CHD. Next year we will have a sign reading "Chevy HHR South Central Region". It will be placed in front of the line of cars for those to know who and what we are. I should have had one made up for this event.
Its called the learning curve. Both my wife and I had a great time with everyone. We met some really neet HHR owners. Thanks to everyone who made the event a fun thing. (Execpt for the heat.) .
In fact, you can see the Jimmy in the third pic down on CJ'S pics.. Its on the right.
