Well it has been over thirty years and Castle wasn't my best assignment. I had the allergies to deal with and a new Thai wife who had adjustment problems of her own, plus pregnancy. It was a rough year from summer of '73 to summer of '74. There were the gas lines and the Yom Kippur war also. We're talking about a SAC training base with high turnover rate and busy-busy-busy. In my 21 years of service, Castle had to be the absolute worst in my memory. Any ways, I'd like to pay a visit for nostalgia purposes. Plus, I need to represent the SoCal group.

Anyone else?

There are still alot more space under the B-52 for more HHRs. There will be only a couple chances you are going to get to park your HHR under the wing of a B-52 without some MP pointing a gun at you and asking you what the hell are you doing parking that PT Cruiser under that thar wing!!

Yes it's a drive... but with your family in the car for the trek..... um..... O.K., it's a lovely drive!

Please send me an email if you're interested, so I can send you a plaquard to show the Navy Cadets at the gate to let you in.

Wink Okay, just finished putting in my reservation,

at the Quality Inn in Merced, on V St.
I'll be coming up on the 23rd and leaving on the 25th.
I'll just need the location of a car wash close by to get the dead bugs off the windshield and front end. A 4-hour drive can do that.
People are telling me that the 99 has changed a lot since the 70's, we'll see about that.
So, anybody else be knocking around the area on the night of the 23rd?
Anyway, be seeing y'all up there early on the 24th.
I fired off an e-mail to be sure I get a placard. It probably got sent twice under 2 of my e-mail address.

I'll be emailling the dash plaquards within the week that you can print off so you don't have any problems getting pass the Navy Cadets manning the gates.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
