Then the wicked witch of the North chased us off. She was so uncool.

It turned out to be a warm and busy day. Lots of folks showed up and asked questions about the HHR, particularly the SS (mine).

The ride home today was uneventful. The gas mileage wasn't as good, only @ 27.6mpg, lots of uphill driving. My average speed for the trip though was 68mph this time.
Boy, are my face and arms red. I had the sunscreen in the car, but forgot to use it.
Thanks to the guys at Northern Cal. HHR's. Shame there wasn't a better HHR turnout.steering:

Great pics Tim, as well as everyone else. It really looked like a great time. Wish I could have made it...just a little too far for me at this time. Karl, I am sad for you, I have been through it and it sux, but it will be as good as new soon! Todd (Uma) Btw, It would have been great to see IVTECH in those pics, may Charles rest in peace.

GM needs to hire Pappa Smurf

One thing about the day is that Pappa Smurf could have sold several SS Panels and regular HHRs if he had any to sell. Too bad the powers that be at GM want to discontinue the SS Panel. His Panel drew considerable interest with many people asking about the turbo and gas mileage. Several people that came over to ask about it were also interested in the LS and 2LT models due to gas mileage, ability to get elderly/older parents in and out, and the differences between the different models. Lots of them were interested in the heated leather seats of the 2LT.

Makes one wonder that if GM started pushing the HHR, how many could they sell? Right about now, I think the dealers would be glad to get something that they could sell. From the dealer I bought my HHR from, they are not getting many Camaros, even though the Camaro has the hot buzz right now. GM probably prefers to push the Malibu so that they can say that they are competing against the Accord?

Wow, sorry to hear and see the damage you sustained after such a nice day in the sun. I just can't believe that you never felt anything when it happened. I wonder what that water pipe looks like now.
That repair estimate is on the steep side also.
