CGS Installed today!

I have been unhappy with the look under my hood for a while now. The giant black air cleaner just wasn't doing it for me. I was holding out for the GMPP kit but jumped on a CGS at a great price. Thanks to Knyzryd for meeting me in San Juan last night and taking such good care of his CGS. If I get a mile or two more per gallon I will be happy, but when I open the hood I am digging it. I whipped up an ECOTEC decal to top it off. I had a great day playing HHR in the driveway.

That looks awesome Tim! If you have no problems, I am going to do it! I know that everyone has done it but I am just leary cause of the warranty. Todd(Uma)

Tim, does it sound different when you really nail the throttle? I had a CAI on my Marauder and it made it sound like the hood was going to get sucked in when I got on it. Anxious to see how the mileage is affected. Lookin good Bro

Looks good Tim.
When you make up some black Outlaw stickers I would like one too.

Don. it does add a throaty sound to the hard acceleration and you can hear a slight difference in normal driving. However I am going for MPG and I just feather it most of the time. My DIC was reading 23.4 when I got to work today which is up about 2 mpg from they last few weeks. Like I said though I was going for the look more than anything. When I drove down to pick it up I got 28 mpg which was cool too.

Charles, I will make you a decal this week. PM me your address and I will drop it in the mail.

One week later

So how do I like my CGS after one week?

Two thumbs up! Nearly 3 mpg over stock, driving my normal routine.

Mostly city, bumper to bumper traffic.

Grrrr Grrrr at the killer mileage. Hoping that when I get mine this tuesday I can say the same. Tim, did you read about my oil cap and dipstick smelling of gasoline? Does yours?
