And don't you just love the ride now?! Leveling and sway makes such a difference!

Angie,

Maybe a more better example for you to go by since you would be on 18's not 20's is ask for a ride in Tracy's or Tim's

lowering

That's a good idea Daryl. Angie i'll let you try my IBM to see if you like the ride on 18's. But right now Julie and i are both sick with flu.

This makes a huge difference since Tracy's has some sidewall. Todds car has rubber bands for tires. Looks most cool, rides most harsh - A trade off I suppose. I think Ang is sticking to either 17's or 18's. I was going to lower mine too but with the new 18's it looks lower. Sorry you guys arent feeling well, feel better tracy and julie!

Don's right that I want to stay in the 17-18 familia of wheels. Found some 17's that will replace the 5-spokers and keep the tires, but ya know, may as well go for something different.

Thanks, Trac' (hot, spicy soup will help with that plague!) for the offer too of a spin in the IBM. I appreciate ya'll letting me drive your rides--and also for all the help from the guy's in this group helping a gal out with mods. (yes Don, I said it)

TWICE! There is hope. I dunno, lowered and stock wheels will look great since yours are in good shape. Im still on the fence about going that route. I wont pay someone to do it and I dont want to tie the car up for the day in the driveway. Maybe, who knows.

LOL!
yes, there is always hope!

Remember one of the rims is all jacked up--kind of why I'm leaning towards just getting new wheels.

Thinking about it is as exciting as getting a new pair of shoes--except they aren't black or patent leather.

Taking a drive in my car may not be a true test of how your car will feel. I drove Kris' with the leveling springs and sway bar. It was better...but not at all like my car. The tires also make a big difference. It's all about give and take! todd (uma)

Angie,

Have you settled on which wheels you are going to get? Dealer's Tire in Fullerton has a set of American Racing wheels for an HHR that they got stuck with. I almost bought them myself last week as they made me an offer that was pretty hard to pass up. They are a five spoke chrome aluminum wheel.

I have a picture of one of the wheels, but I think the image is too large to post as I couldn't get it to post. I also tried to include the link to American Racing's web site to the specific wheel, but the site currently isn't loading.

Thanks, Ralph, can you email me the pic please?
Doesn't hurt to see what they look like!
