Great NEWS, come monday April 6th, there will be a Sonic in Santee, on Mission Gorge, just off the 67 Hyway. Whooo Hoooo !!

 

Or I should say, "We made a really slow lap around the place". Wow... that place was PACKED! The normal In/Out was coned off and folks were directed to a "Staging Area". The "Staging Area" was around the corner and made up of two columns (10+ cars each) of idling cars. I swear that when we drove by, some people in the back appeared to be asleep.

The walk-up order area was standing room only. All in all, the place had a good vibe and lots of energy. Saw a couple of hotrods zooming around and it all looks like a fun experience.

We've never been to a Sonic before and I assume the high activity level has to do with its newness. We'll probably wait another few weeks before we try out that famous cherry-limeade.

 

I think some of the SoCal folks might still be a bit miffed when we were chased away from a Sonics last year.

I went on the evening of the 9th, waited a little over an hour to go through the drive-thru! Went again Easter Sunday morning and only waited about 15min to go to the stall!

 

Is it really that good?

 

I'm from N Dallas, we have like 4 in our town, so being stuck out here in San Diego for the last almost 10yrs will make it that good! lol I went a few times every time I was home, but it's been a while!

 

Never been to ,maybe never will, ever since Sonic refused to serve SoCal HHRs in Fullerton last year
