Wanna Race?

Do we have a drag race interest here? I work at Irwindale Thursday nights at the drags.. Stop by if you are there. Last week we had an HHR SS running 8 sec laps and every so often an Ecotec club guy shows up.

We keep loosing them here in the land it all began. LACR Gone, the original Irwindale and Fontana, Lions, OCIR, Riverside, Terminal Island, Fremont, Halfmoon bay, Saugus, Santa Ana and the list goes on. Two Jerks have tried to shut down Pomona and Fontana. Fontana now runs a limited schedule and Pomona is down to two national events.

Bob, i grew up in the southbay, and my dad took to me Lions Dragstrip almost every saturday night. Saw some great darg races there alot of legends. When they tore the strip down we started going to OCIR. Miss them both.

We have one here in El Paso. Not great, but better than nothing. They have a light tre and time equipment. For $10 you can ran as many tines as you like in an evening. I've have mine out there a few times. Got to fix this CEL before I can go back.

Oh, and what is in the center of your dash where the glove box is? If you are there this Thursday, come in the tower and say HI.

What were your E.T.'s? 8 something if I remember..

The Screen in the center of the dash is the optional performance display. Mine is stock with just just tuning using Hp Tuners by Gary Hairfield. Along with a set of mickey thompson et street 2. Mine is an auto and was running 8.80's at 81-82 MPH.

Its hard for me to go by on Thursdays, since i love 90 miles away and work early, but will be there at the next summit race. Will stop by and say hi then!

I know the distance issue. I live in Ventura/Oxnard area...I don't work there at Summit races, just the street drags.. That performance gauge is interesting.. wonder if it will fit my '08?
