1st Problem with the Stage 1

I've had it installed right at about 2 months now. Started driving today....and I have NO boost at all....put it to the floor....wouldn't even pass a car. Got out....jiggled the wires to the upper senser. Now...I'm running at about 19 lbs. of boost tops....whereas I was running 24 lbs. They used the provided wires clamps that came with the kit. They told me that "if we soilder it....the connection could become brittle and break". Have any of you guys had ANY problems with yours being soildered? I really hope they remove all of the crap a** connectors and soilder it all together.....

They should check the lower TMAP connector. That's the biggest PITA when it comes to having that problem occur.

It acted up a couple times they had soldered the top already, then they Mickey Mouse fabricated this bracket and it hasn't skipped a beat since. It still isn't strong enough I'm going to tune.

turned out when I thought the problem was on the top it was really the bottom one.

I'll have them check both of the sensor wiring...but I giggled the top wires and that's when I got some response out of it. At first, it wouldn't produce ANY boost....after I giggled the upper wires...it boosted up to 19lbs. and that's it. And when I kicked on teh Trifecta...it barely got past 10 lbs. of boost. Hopefully, they will just soldier everthing and I'll be good to go.

Hmm, before you go that far, check to see if you have a boost leak somewhere. Just a thought...

Welcome to the Stage 1 no boost world! I had the same issues over and over until my dealer soldered my wires.......now all is good. But I went thru HELL until a fix (solder) came thru. I wish that nice new connector harness that GM sells now was available when I installed in 2009.

They ended up soldiering the top....and they said "the bottom isn't going to happen, there isn't enough room to soldier the wiring". So far...it's running okay...I hit 24 lbs. a couple times. They said that it will "probably blow a head gasket with that much boost".....
