Anyone Have This SS Issue?

The exhaust outlet on my SS turns the inner side of the bumper around it black. It doesn't stick out past the inside edge (it does on the outside edge). Is this common? I am planning on cutting the tip off, putting in a short extension and welding it back so it sticks further out.

The tip isnt really fully on the muffler. Watch when you start the car cold in the winter you will see that it doesnt come straight out of the tip

This is common to the DI engine and the HHR bumper can show some soot.

On my old stock exhaust yes a little bit, I got a new exhaust under warentee and this one is sticking out far enough where it doesn't happen.

Yeah, I used to have that on my LT when I bought it, before I put a tip on it... Made sure the tip was sticking out past the bumper, now it's all set!
