Code P0101

Two chevy dealers have tried to diagnose my 2008 HHR SS with automatic transmission for an engine light with code P0101 with no success. The light does go off on its own once in a while. So far they have replaced the MAF sensor, air filter, PCV Valve and braided steel hose. They did a smoke test and found a leak at the connection for the air intake at the turbo which they tightened. The car runs fine but does loose some power when the engine light is on. Has anyone been through this with their HHR and be able to offer some advice?

I didn't see you mention a boost leak that was fixed(your leak was before the turbo)...I have heard about a boost leak that will cause the p0101 code....that code is a circulation/volume issue with the MAF sensor that I have had while trying to use a aftermarket intake. If you are 100% stock including the air filter, I would see if you have a boost leak anywhere. maybe somebody else has a better idea, if not, it wouldn't hurt to check cobaltss.net

Hi,

in my case, a leak after Turbo (cracked plastic hose to intercooler) caused the P0101 code.
