Coolant pipe

I am getting ready to install. I put new o ring gaskets on both ends.

My question is should the gaskets be installed dry or with a lubricant?

Thanks!

Thanks Oldblue! Ill register with autozone so i can search the repair guide.

On a separate note i spoke with a good radiator shop today about dexcool and crystalizind and corrosion. Below is a picture of my thermostat housing. With hole eaten right through side. Also is a before picture.

They suggest switching to green coolant instead. Only recommendation completely drain dexcool.

Since im replacing waterpump, radiator, heater coor, overflow bottle, thermostat and all hoses now would be the time to conver.

Does anyone have any experience or advice pro/con?

My only opbservation is im shocked how much buildup and corrosion the car has compared to many mopars ive worked on with IAT green vs the dexcool.

Nice hole found along with many deep internal pits

Before clean

Looks like older Dexcool, overheated and crystallized. Make sure you install a new AC Delco 131-158 180 degree thermostat.

I do not recommend going with green coolant as it will do this or worse to the heater core and rad.

I’m thinking someone installed a 190 degree thermostat at one time or possibly added green coolant to the factory Dexcool
