Difference on Springs SS over the LT ??

Was there a difference on the SS Springs over the 2LT Springs???? Did the SS Springs make the truck lower than the Stock Springs on a LT ??I assume the SS Springs will fit in place on a LT Truck??

SS is the best of the lot (spring rate)....also about 3/4 shorter... fits ALL HHRS and colbalts

I have 2 rear SS Springs I probally should get the fronts for I'm thinking one should replace with all SS Springs and not just the rears.

LS = FE1 soft ride suspension
LT1 = FE1 soft ride suspension
LT2 = FE3 sport suspension
SS = FE5 sport tuned suspension

The SS springs have a higher spring rate and are about 3/4" lower than the LT2 springs.
If you drive your car[not truck] aggressive at times, then you might consider Pedders springs, front and rear. Pedders are the same spring rate a SS springs, and put the car into the best stance for a FWD car to handle properly. Quality cost a little more, but worth it, in the end.
In my books there are two ways for people to mod their cars. Find the cheapest parts and end up with a pooch, or spring for the good parts off the top. To put it again as I have said in a prior thread. "You want oats that has already been through the horse, or you want fresh oats". fresh oats work every time, and last. "Moon"

Yes the the ss got different "better" springs and struts than any other hhr. Moon I would usually agree with spend the money but I bought the ssi springs off eBay (120$) shipped been some pretty damn good springs so far and I would say that I put this poor thing through it's passes

Correct me if I am wrong but the SS also got different front lower control arms. Lest we also not forget the swaybars.

I think the control arms are the same. Its the cobalts that have stamped steel on the base models. All HHRs I have seen are cast aluminum.

The SS struts are better than the FE3 ones, as they were engineered to match the SS springs, but you may not even notice the difference. If you want the best, then go for it.
The difference is more noticeable when going from the base LS FE1 to the gas-charged FE3.
