The SS struts are better than the FE3 ones, as they were engineered to match the SS springs, but you may not even notice the difference. If you want the best, then go for it.
The difference is more noticeable when going from the base LS FE1 to the gas-charged FE3.
I think the arms were made a little different as the GM press material I thought said they were. They changed the geometry for handling and wheel hop.

The struts and shocks are made by Sachs. Sach are OE suppliers to many companies like Benz, BMW and Porsche.

Note too only the best of GMPD models got the F5 listing. THese suspensions with the F5 got the extra tuning only they worked on.

Believe the arms to be the same..it was te steering knuckle that was redesigned
