Yours is hptuned right?

There is a number that gm uses at the dealership that is not the same.series as the number in the gmtu installation book.
I should have written the number down But I can still get it from the dealer.
If I had the number from say another dealer etc. And it matches then I would assume it's the vacuum pump or wiring.

looked at the install of the vaccum pump looks like it came from the factory this way
bolts on via a bracket to the front of the oil pan
simple 2 wires one to ground that appears to be a good ground and the positive wire goes up and goes into the fuse block.
Checked all fuses they are good
Not sure if the whole fuse block simply pulls apart to see exactly where the tech attached the wire?

In my SS case, the pump operates for no more that 5 - 10 seconds upon startup.

The calibration #, is the Segment 2 # in your ECM.

If your not sure that you got to right 'tune', a quick HPTuner check of Segment 2 , will tell you which Calibration you have.

HHR SS QC
do you have the dealer installed vacuum pump bolted to the bottom of the oil pan and it only runs for a few seconds or are you referring to a vacuum pump sound for emissions when started?

Xtreme ss thanks for that Info I do have those series of numbers but there is some other series of numbers that Gm is using at the dealer

they showed me on paper both numbers used but the numbers did not appear to be anywhere near the series of numbers in the instructions.
According to Tom at crate engine depot he says the tech calls gm and they tell the dealer which number to use?

thanks 2005
if I can always verify the number with them when I go back in they are supposed to be replacing the CAC pipe this week hopefully

Ya there is a few different #s associated with the kit. You have the flash part # which I provided above, your kits serial #, a gm case #, and I believe there is one more.

The one the dealer calls GM for is that "secret" number that is supposed to be vin.# specific.
The tech that did mine wrote all the numbers down on the instruction sheet which he gave back to me. I remember one odd sequence number that I did not recognize. I think it is that "secret" vin specific one.

Hoping to get the secret Vin one tomorrow from the dealer just to compare.
Or at least instructions on where the tech exactly installed the positive wire in the fuse box.
