Does anyone know when the vacuum assist pump for the brakes is suppose to run.

After your VIN is loaded with the upgrade all the tech does is install. I believe there is a question which is Vacuum Pump and the tech answers yes or no. That is how the 2008s were. But since your pump was factory installed I don't know that that question is still asked, but I am betting it is and the tech said no.

Secret numbers? I don't know what that is. Why was a postitive wire installed at the fuse box?

The positive wire going into the fuse block is from the recently installed vacuum brake assist pump

Yes, I have the dealer installed vacuum pump, and if i remember correctly, it is bolted near the oil pan. The pump runs for a few seconds to build up more vacuum for the brakes.
